I’m a Mom to 5, a grandmother to 1. Work 2 jobs a total of 86hrs a week with special needs kids and still manage to take care of my family
We would like to thank you for supporting Vanessa Torres in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The most rewarding part of being a mom was seeing my own child give birth to her daughter, something I never thought I would get to experience so soon in life, Seeing my children growing up into responsible and kind hearted human beings makes me realize I did it , I won in life !
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?I will never forget when I was a single teen mom of 2 at the age of 18 with no where to stay My oldest daughter would tell me “We will be OK mami” and she was right We are OK. Now I have a total of 5 kids and 1 grandchild. My fav. memories are built when all 10 of us are all together since my oldest 2 are already out the house. But 1 core memory will be when I told them I was diagnosed with cervical Cancer last year, all 5 of them gave me the tightest hug I’ve ever felt in my whole life
What would you do with $20,000?What I would do with the money would be put it as a down payment to have a stable home to finish raising my younger kids. The majority of the time I have to work up to 80hrs a week in order to give my kids a decent way of living here in the bay area , and that leaves me with no way of saving for a house
