Yashunda Rowsey

As much as my kids need me I need them which is why I work so hard to do all I can for them as a single mom.

We would like to thank you for supporting Yashunda Rowsey in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Watching my oldest graduate high school and go off to Air Force. My boys get summer jobs and my two yr old graduate from her old classroom in daycare onto the 3-4 yr old class.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

To never give up no matter what life throws at you.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would fix my parents who decease house up. They left it for my sisters and I. We planned to fix it up in 2019 after my mom passed away in 2018 but my baby sister passed away in 2019 from seizures. My sister next to me we never had time cause all we do is work and tend to my children activities. We have memories but I want to keep the memories in the house we grew up in for my children and nieces and nephews(if my sister ever have any children ) who will one day have the house.
