Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is getting to watch Jordan become exactly who she is. I fought hard to become her mother, and now I get the gift of seeing the world through her eyes every day. I try to raise her to be fierce but kind, strong but loving, and fully herself. The little moments, the laughter, the books, the snuggles, the way she keeps growing into her own person, means everything to me. At 2.5 she is already showing me and our dog so much joy. I learn from her everyday!

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood has taught me to focus on what really matters. It has made me better in every part of my life, at work, in how I care for myself, and in how I spend my time. I have learned that I cannot get back the moments I miss, so I try to be present. I would rather read one more book, laugh a little longer, and make memories with my daughter than worry about a perfectly clean house. She reminds me every day what is important and how to be a better person.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would use the $20,000 to give Jordan more opportunities and create more stability for our little family. As a single mom by choice without family nearby, support matters. I would put it towards childcare, savings for her future, and experiences and activities that help her discover who she wants to be. It would ease real pressure, but more than that, it would help me keep building a life where she feels supported, safe, and free to dream big.
