Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Living and seeing life a second time from their eyes and perspectives. As they grow and discover, I grow and evolve too. My children have further intensified the way I look at the world, they make me bolder, braver and softer all at once. I am not afraid to try new things, to show them that failure/learning/trying again is part of the equation. They make me enjoy the simpler things, and their laughter and warm hugs melt away any worry. I love to see them become good citizens of this world.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

As hard as things can be, everything is a fleeting/temporary phase that we can conquer. Sometimes one step and one day at a time. Meeting people where they are at, providing a place of comfort and sense of safety is the most important.

What would you do with $20,000?

I've recently been impacted by a company restructuring and laid off. At the current moment I'd look to utilize these funds to extend my runway to care for my family's vary basic needs as I am the breadwinner of my family. I am actively seeking the next opportunity and positive it will come soon. They could also help me launch my consultancy services if the search would prolong. If I get to enjoy the $20k id likely invest in their education funds and take a little bit to enjoy for ourselves.
