What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Being that I’m still married to the same man for 48 years. I have always put my family first especially my children. I have always worked and maintain our home. I prefer to cook instead of going out. Whenever my kids need me to babysit, I will drop everything and do it because I love my grandchildren so much. I also helped raise most of them. I take my youngest granddaughter to school and pick her up and care for her. My husband and I always went on vacation with our kids and grandkids.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

To be the glue that holds our family together. And help my kids whenever they need me. I have learned that being a mother is the best thing I have ever done in life. And I hope that I live forever so I could be here for everyone as long as possible. I also volunteered at the Make-A-Wish Foundation for about 15 years granting wishes for children.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would definitely go on a vacation and take everyone with me. Even if it’s just to the beach or the mountains. I enjoy making my family happy. Their happiness is more important than mine. I would most likely still cook nice meals while we’re on vacation. But also throw a couple restaurants in there. Their birthdays would be made special.
