What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

It is knowing I’m breaking generational cycles. My mother, one of 11 children who lost her father young, did the best she could—but love wasn’t always something she was taught to give. As the only girl and second oldest, I grew up helping raise my brothers and learned resilience early. Today, I lead differently. I pour love, confidence, and support into my daughters, raising strong, resilient young women who know their worth and believe they can achieve anything.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood has taught me that love and leadership go hand in hand. It’s not about perfection—it’s about being present, patient, and consistent, even on the hard days. I’ve learned that each child is different, and what works for one may not work for another. It has taught me to listen more, react less, and lead with empathy. Most importantly, it’s shown me that who I am, what I model, and how I show up every day will shape who my children become.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would invest in my children’s education and launch a business focused on helping veterans and underserved communities build careers and financial literacy. I’ve seen too many young service members and minorities never taught how to manage or grow their money, often living paycheck to paycheck. I want to change that—helping them build stability, invest, and create generational wealth that transforms their families and future.
