It’s also the connection. That bond where you’re their safe place no matter what—that’s something really special and lasting. And over time, it becomes incredibly rewarding to watch their personality, talents, and confidence develop. You start to see pieces of your love, effort.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?The biggest lesson motherhood teaches is that you can’t control everything—but you can choose how you show up. Kids don’t need perfection. They need patience, consistency, and someone who keeps showing up, even after mistakes. Motherhood really drives home that growth matters more than getting it right every time. It also teaches you humility. You realize pretty quickly that you don’t have all the answers, and that’s okay. You learn to listen more, react less, and pick what actually matters.
What would you do with $20,000?Depends a lot on your situation, but a smart way to use $20,000 is to balance stability, future growth, and a little quality of life. First, I’d make sure there’s a safety net—an emergency fund that can cover a few months of expenses. That alone can take a lot of pressure off.
