As a military spouse Mrs.South Carolina and a proud mom of five, I am the steady foundation my family stands on.
We would like to thank you for supporting Valerie Barnes in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
The best part of being a mom isn’t just one thing it’s a collection of little moments that end up meaning everything. It’s the way your child looks at you like you’re their whole world. The hugs that come out of nowhere. The “mommy, watch this!” moments that you’ve seen a hundred times but still cheer for like it’s the first. It’s watching them grow into their own person seeing pieces of you, but also discovering who they are. Their personality, their humor, their kindness.all unfolding.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Every child is different, each with their own special way of shining.
What would you do with $20,000?If I had $20,000, I would use it to teach my children lifelong lessons. Every child is different, so I would give each of them the chance to invest in something they are passionate about whether a small business, a goal, or a company they believe in. This would help them learn responsibility, confidence, and the value of making their own decisions while growing in their own unique way.
