Nurturing my daughter's development as she comes into her own and builds her confidence and self-esteem. Watching the secure attachment that always brings her home to my arms, but gives her the confidence to explore her surroundings, is just one of the most beautiful things to witness.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?It really does take a village. I have been hyper-independent my whole life, and thought I could approach motherhood the same way. It humbled me, quickly, and showed me that I need to let others care for me the way I have always cared for them. This expanded my capacity to accept love and, in turn, my capacity to love others. It's also what inspired me to build a community of moms building businesses, because entrepreneurial moms need even more support!
What would you do with $20,000?We really value experiences over things, so we'd invest a $5k in our daughter's investment account, which would grow to over $17k by the time she turns 16. Our goal is to have seed funds ready for her when she wants to start her own business someday. We'd invest another $5k in building out the podcast, as it really fills a gap in the postpartum education space. We'd spend the other $10k on a family vacation, including the cousins, because getting together as a family doesn't happen often enough.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Super Mom, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
