Be able to be there for my family, no matter what. I do my best to show up for my family. I help my son with my grandson's, I am there for my niece/daughter you see I got custody of my niece when she left foster care and raised her as my own daughter. So I also help her and her children when she needs me. My oldest son was murdered in 2006, but his son was born in 2007 and I have raised him also. My heart smiles knowing that I have had such a special bond with my children and grandchildren.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Motherhood has taught me to be the best role model I can be for my family. There is no manual when it comes to raising children so you learn from your mistakes and be able to say I am sorry. Often times parents don't feel like they need to say sorry when we make mistakes but we do. Always keep your word, children count on us to do that. Mean what you say and say what you mean.
What would you do with $20,000?I would take the money and pay off some bills and put a down payment on a house for my son, grandchildren and my dad who I take care of as well. Family means everything to me and I feel good knowing that my family is taken care of.
