Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Laughing with my children! They surprise me by what they know and understand. At times they teach me things as well. I grew up loving cartoons and Just being outdoors. Being able to share that with them and they enjoying it with me is a joy. I'm proud to be a mom of two exceptional people! My son is diagnosed AuDHD and my daughter is diagnosed ADHD inattentive. They think so beyond the box. They challenge me and we cheer for each other through challenges! I am their #1 advocate!

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

It has taught me that expectations need to be flexible. But standards have to remain for growth! I have seen so many hard and horrible things like grief, divorce, starting over after being a stay-at-home wife and mom to single unemployed mom. I now know I can earn a 4.0 GPA in massage school and excel in my profession at giving client focused experiences. I now know I can advocate for my children to receive the best medical care. I now know they grow as I grow so I must not fear change.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would pay of my debt and put a down payment on a forever home for my children and I. They deserve a place that is steady and consistent. We now live in subsidized housing. I want their rooms to be theirs, not borrowed. I want every dime I earn to go back into my family. I would start my massage business from this home. It would be our new beginning.
