The most rewarding part of being a mom is reliving childhood through my daughter’s eyes while helping her grow into a better person than I could ever dream to be. I find that it’s healing part of my own trauma and insecurities. I try to provide her with fun and educational experiences I know I would have loved as a child. I encourage her to explore and find her independence without the anxieties I felt in childhood. Seeing her successful in even the smallest tasks are little rewards I get daily.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Motherhood has taught me to never give up on myself and my dreams. Being a successful mom while in school shows my daughter she is capable of anything she puts her heart into. Without my daughter I wouldn’t have had the drive to better myself with an education and career goal.
What would you do with $20,000?I would pay off debt, and get my own place to live with my daughter. I’m currently living with my mom as I go to school and the money would really help me support my daughter and our future. I would also love to take my daughter on vacation again.
