Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

As a mother of 3 young boys and one little lady, I am learning that the most rewarding part is watching them grow in their sibling relationship. Brothers and sisters learning to play together, grow, love, be kind, be playful, be mindful, care about each other. And when you see it happen between them, you know you’re doing something right! While I miss them tiny, I am gifted each day watching them become young men and treat their baby sister right.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood has taught me that I have a lot to learn. You can be the parent and still not fully know what you’re doing! At each age, every milestone, each rite of passage, I learn to handle situations with more grace and mutual respect with my children, so they grow handling life with maturity and self-awareness. I’ve learned my children will follow my lead no matter what- so choosing the right steps- in my actions, words, self- esteem, and beliefs- each day is crucial.

What would you do with $20,000?

There are so many desires, but the plan would be to split it in multiple ways! A home addition, since the family has grown by one more, a renovated backyard with a few perks, a savings account addition, maybe a vacation fund. Or a deposit into a high yield account for all four kids to start adult life with a little extra!
