The best part of being a mom is watching your children grow, gain confidence and develop into their individual identities. Being able to see them overcome obstacles, succeed and fail, all the role learning to be an adult is very rewarding.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?The biggest lesson I learned is that it is ok not to be perfect. We all make mistakes but for some reason we feel we need to be the perfect mom. We criticize ourselves for not reacting properly or overreacting to things that happen with our kids. Learning to say I made a mistake or sorry I overreacted teaching humility and allows our children to better understand that no one, even mom, is infallible.
What would you do with $20,000?With $20000 I would help my girls pay off part of their student loans and take them on a trip to Yosemite or Yellowstone National Park. When they were little we would visit the local public parks and look for the wildlife like deer and chipmunks. This appreciation of nature has stayed with them and they enjoy the outdoors and going to National Parks. It is something we would all enjoy together.
