The most rewarding part of being a mom is witnessing my son’s tiny wins and “aha” moments. I love watching him learn new words, explore with curiosity, and grow more independent each day. Seeing his joy—dancing, playing peekaboo, or running up for hugs—fills my heart. Even though I work with kids, nothing compares to the love and pride I feel watching my own child learn and thrive.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?The biggest lesson I’ve learned from my son is that nothing is as important as love. Love makes the world go around, and joy and love are the most important parts of life. He has taught me to slow down and enjoy the present. He shows me every day that the little things matter most and that I can provide everything he needs. A smile, a laugh, and time together are worth more than anything money could buy, and that love is truly everything in this life that we share.
What would you do with $20,000?My family would benefit greatly from $20,000. I would use it to pay down student loans from earning my Master’s in Social Work, which helped me transition from teaching to clinical social work supporting children’s mental health. It could also go toward a down payment on a home—we’ve never owned one. Rent and groceries are often tight, and this would help us finally live more comfortably.
