Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a Mom is being their safe place in a world that isn't always easy or "safe". It's knowing that however big life gets, they still come back to me for comfort, guidance, and love. As a Mom of three, I get the privilege of loving three completely different humans in exactly the way each of them needs. They are my heart walking around outside my body, going in different places, and discovering different things.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood has taught me to trust myself, even when I don't have all the answers. It's humbled me in the best way and stretched my capacity for empathy. I see the world different now. I see it through my children's eyes, and with more patience and understanding. I am not just raising them, I am also growing right alongside of them.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would use it to invest in my children's education, activities, and experiences so they can grow, explore, and become who they are meant to be. This will open doors for them that I am not financially able to open for them right now. I would also want to travel with them to show them how big and beautiful this world really is, and to teach them to never stop exploring!
