Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is even after a long day my two girls are so happy to see me and tell me what a good mom I am even when I don’t feel it. Most days I’m going from 4:30 a.m.-10:30 p.m. This means my girls are right there in the trenches with me getting up early and helping me hit all of our morning routines. In the midst of all the chaos they are right there with me helping motivate me through it all. Although there’s some tears and whining from the three of us it works out.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

The biggest lesson that motherhood has taught me is that I need to have grace. Although it takes a village not everyone has one and you have to push through the hard days and take time to enjoy the easy ones. Give yourself grace because even though you don’t think you’re doing that great, there are little ones watching you thinking you are the greatest thing ever. Always be an example and enjoy every moment good or bad because they go by so quick you never want to take them for granted.

What would you do with $20,000?

If I were to win $20,000 I would take my girls on a long overdue vacation. Last year I worked 288/365 days. This left little time for me and my girls to enjoy weekends or evenings together. As a single mom I don’t have much of a say so when it comes to how much I have to work especially given the nature of the job. I would love to dedicate some time for just us and also put some money aside in their savings to help set them up for their future; whatever they decide that may be they deserve it!
