I am a mom to a beautiful 10 year old daughter who has a rare, autoimmune disease while working, advocating, and educating the public.
We would like to thank you for supporting Tara Keyes in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
The most rewarding part about being a mom is seeing my daughter smile when I pick her up from school. You realize a love that intense has never been felt-until you become a mom. Love is the highest and most powerful emotion. The love I have for my daughter is the catalyst for everything that I do.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Motherhood has taught me that I am capable of enduring any storm all because of the love I have for my daughter. Through the joys, the stress, the worry, the chaos-I love this little human and will always ensure her well being is a priority.
What would you do with $20,000?My daughter was diagnosed with a life threatening, devastating, autoimmune disorder called PANS, which is the acronym for Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome. This is a rare illness that affects 1 in 200 children and is very traumatic. Seeing your child suffer is the most earth shattering experience a parent will ever endure in this lifetime. I would use the money towards PANS research to better serve PANS children and their parents through advocacy, education, and support.
