What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The little things. Smiles. First laugh. Him holding my finger. I've only been a mom for 4 months...3 of which were spent visiting baby in the NICU an hour and a half away from home...and its made me cherish the little things even more. Just having him near me and not having to hear beeping sounds or travel to see him anymore has been surreal. Being a NICU mom was the hardest thing I'd ever done, but my son was more than worth it.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

To thank God more often. Holding my baby for the first time and him fitting in just one hand, to now being a whopping 8lbs is a MIRACLE, one that only God can perform. My son has taught me that strength doesn't come with age or experience, rather is something freely given by God when we lean on Him.

What would you do with $20,000?

Honest answer? I don't even know. My dream is to be a stay at home mom. My unpaid maternity leave ends in 4 weeks, it would be a blessing to be able to extend that in order to spend more time with my baby. Since he had a 3 month stay in the NICU, my husband had to work non-stop to make ends meet while I juggled working virtually and visiting baby at a hospital 1.5hr away from home. It would be nice to finally spend the time we lost together and not have to worry about paying bills in the meantim
