Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

There’s nothing better than waking up every day and seeing a smile on my child’s face And being a part of the reason it’s there. Getting to show someone unconditional love every day is more rewarding than I imagined. Sometimes the world is an ugly, mean place and it can be scary. I love being someone’s safe place and loving every part of them, even the parts that others look at as weird or different.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Nothing goes as planned, and that’s OK, but you have to keep trying. You have to keep pushing you can’t give up as soon as it gets hard.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would use it to help us move to a bigger space that fits our son‘s special needs. He has therapies 3x a week, some sessions are at home, and I have to do exercises with him daily, but we don’t have the space or tools he requires. He’s starting to need more help with his development which means more medical equipment, more home visits, more therapy sessions. I just want to provide a stable, and able place for my son to call home.
