What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The moments that mean the most to me are when my daughters hug me and say, “You are the best mom-I couldn’t have done this without your support and guidance,” and when I see them make good choices during challenging times and continue to persevere despite setbacks.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Where do I even begin? Motherhood taught me that the world doesn’t revolve around me, and that my children come before everything - even myself. It taught me strength and determination: to never give up, no matter how difficult things become. I have fought for them, and I always will. I used to cry and feel overwhelmed by small things. Today, I am unbreakable. As long as my kids are okay, I have the strength to do anything and overcome any challenge. I am more powerful than I’ve ever been.

What would you do with $20,000?

My daughter is pursuing a degree in veterinary medicine at an accredited university in Australia after not being accepted to the only veterinary school in Ontario. With limited Canadian options available, we secured a student loan that does not fully cover tuition or living expenses. As a result, I work hard to support her education. If selected, this funding would go toward the most meaningful investment of my life - my daughter’s future and education.
