Being a single mom. Raising my daughter while dealing with my mother who has dementia. We lived out of state and had no help, but I managed.

We would like to thank you for supporting Susan Cataldo in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Seeing my daughter strive in school and make the principles list all while dealing with the struggles we’ve had dealing with my demanding job and a live in grandmother with dementia.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

The biggest lesson that motherhood has taught me is that your children idolize you, so you need to set a great example for them. You have to show them how to be an awesome human being that loves life, treats others as I want to be treated and be respectful of others.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would definitely put half towards my daughter’s college fund and use the rest to go on a vacation to the Grand Canyon. We’ve talked about it several times, it’s on our bucket list.
