What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom for me is watching my boys grow. Each stage has its hardships, and its bittersweet leaving one stage to move onto the next. I'm trying to meet them where they are at and enjoy it.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood has taught me to take more adventures. My oldest son turns eight in July. Struggling with postpartum depression, I regret not venturing out. Anxiety influenced my decisions. I was lucky to advocate for myself and sought help, albeit not as soon as I should've. Then our second son was born 3/30/2020. Unfortunately, we know how covid affected social aspects of life. Once things started opening up, we took advantage of it. Now, our third son is along for the ride!

What would you do with $20,000?

I have been lucky enough to return to school to become a nurse anesthetist, graduating in May. Unfortunately, returning to this program meant not being able to work for three years. I spent time away from home studying and traveling to school and clinicals. Our boys made sacrifices and weren't able to fully understand why. $20,000 would help us get back on our feet after this financial hardship for our family as we are starting over again with my husband and I being in our late 30's.
