Being a mother to my six children, five with special needs, is most rewarding through being their advocate and voice in a world that isn’t always accepting. Despite challenges, I fight for them daily. In return, I receive unconditional love that no money can buy. I also use my journey to empower other families to become strong advocates for their children.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Motherhood has taught me that it’s okay for my journey to look different. It’s not a race or a comparison. My children grow at their own pace, and that’s enough. What matters is giving my all, supporting them, and allowing them space to thrive. As long as they are happy, healthy, and feel accepted, that’s what truly matters.
What would you do with $20,000?If I won $20,000, I would set aside money for each of my children’s future, start a nonprofit to support families navigating IEPs, laws, and rights, and give back to my community. Most importantly, I would take my kids to Disneyland the happiest place on earth which they’ve always dreamed of visiting.
