Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part is showing my daughter what’s possible. She’s watched me build a company from scratch while still working in clinic, figuring it out in real time. I’m not just raising her, I’m showing her what it looks like to create something of your own, even when it’s hard. There is simply no better feeling than living with your best friend, watching them grow into their own little person and playing such a huge part in the person she has become. It's the best feeling in the world.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood taught me that you don’t need to follow a playbook to move forward. It's also given me the tools to master the pivot process. As a mom, you need to figure it out as you go. Constantly deal with unsolicited advice. Move fast and move onto-the-next 'experiment' when something isn't working. And once it's working, you double down. This is no different than building and running a company. It’s made me more resilient, more present, and more willing to trust myself in the unknown.

What would you do with $20,000?

I’d use it to buy back time and create breathing room. Inject the funds into both my family and my business. Right now I’m balancing motherhood, working in clinic, and building my company, all within the limits of time and resources. This would allow me to step back, invest in growth, and be more present with my daughter with more intention and less strain.
