I’m a SuperMom because I never stop showing up for my kids. I fight for them. I am their safe place. My love is loud. My support is constant
We would like to thank you for supporting Soraya Goncalves in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
The most rewarding part of being a mom is watching my children grow into their own person. It’s not always easy, but the little moments—like their hugs, laughs, and even the way they trust me—make it the most rewarding thing in my life.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?The biggest lesson motherhood has taught me is patience and resilience. Every day isn’t perfect, and my kids don’t always make the best choices, but I’ve learned to stay consistent, guide them, and not give up on them. It’s taught me how to be strong, to speak up for them, and to keep showing up no matter what.
What would you do with $20,000?If I had $20,000, I’d use it to take some pressure off my bills so I can breathe a little. I’d put money aside for my kids’ future, because everything I do is for them. And I’d make sure to give some to an organization that supports single moms with housing resources, and support services, because I know how much even a little help can change someone’s life.
