What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Watching them bloom into their own person and seeing who they are becoming, while also watching the care and love you’ve poured into them being reflected back in other relationships and areas of their lives; teaching them things my grands taught me; the snuggles and love all day; my son who comes to give me a kiss on the cheek in the middle of the night when he thinks I’m sleeping; my daughter who tells me she loves me because I keep her safe; and just getting to love on these sweet babies. ♥️

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

To slowwwwww down and have more patience. I work with kids, but having your own is a whole different ballgame. Your kids are often your mirror, so being a lot more mindful of how I interact, what I say, and navigating challenges has been a necessary lesson on things I also need to work on! I’ve also learned that showing up, connecting, and repairing when there’s a disconnection with them is far more important than trying to be perfect.

What would you do with $20,000?

I’d finish paying off my student loans first, and then look to pay off some of what’s left of my car, find ways to support my kids’ schools/teachers, and save what was left for a rainy day.
