Watching a tiny human grow into themselves—hearing “I love you” in their voice and knowing you helped build that kind of love in the world makes it all worth it. The most rewarding part isn’t perfection, it’s growth. It’s seeing pieces of your love, your lessons, your resilience take root in someone else. It’s realizing that in raising them you learn through them in ways you never expected.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?That control is an illusion. Love is a daily choice. You can’t script who your children become, but you can show up patient, steady, and real. It humbles you in the most honest way. You learn that being “perfect” doesn’t matter nearly as much as being present. That your reactions shape their world more than your rules ever will and that sometimes the greatest strength is in slowing down, listening, and letting them be exactly who they are while you grow right alongside them.
What would you do with $20,000?I would use the money to get my son a cubby bed, and make a little extra room for my oldest- she is making me a grandma this year and we need the room for sure! It would help tremendously!
