Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

When my son looks at me and signs he loves me, seeing how gentle he is around younger children, his passion for small animals and his kindness to helping others. I at times was worried I wasn't doing right by him and then these moments come up and I see I am doing right by him.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

The biggest lesson motherhood has ever taught me was love. As typical as it sounds, it's true. There is no numerical number to show the depth you feel when you have a child. Because love for a child isn't just all glorious moments, it's also the dark days, (meltdowns, attitude, frustration etc.)the sleepless nights, the constant thinking and worrying, the learning new emotions & things (good and bad). It covers everything and then some.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would put that money towards my child's future. Half in an investment (that would allow only him to access before retirement, incase something happens to me) as his registered disability account can only be accessed over the age of 45, and the other half, I would take him to a baseball game, spend a weekend away (it would be during his birthday)& the rest aside for his medical expenses.
