I didn’t just raise my children,I trusted God to carry us through what should have broken us. The most rewarding part of being a mom has been watching my children grow into strong, resilient adults despite everything we’ve been through. We walked through loss, including the heartbreak of losing a child, seasons of homelessness, and constant uncertainty. There were moments I didn’t know how we would make it—but God always made a way. We hung on and never lost our love for each other.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood taught me that love shows up even when you’re tired, faith grows in the hardest moments, God’s grace fills every gap I couldn’t and strength doesn’t come from having all the answers—it comes from trusting God when you have none. I didn’t just see my children grow into strong, compassionate adults… I saw how God used every hardship to shape all of us. Our struggles were moments that built faith, resilience, and purpose in both me and my children.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would turn this blessing into stability for my family and hope for others—because I know what it’s like to need both. Because I know what it feels like to struggle and not know where help will come from, this prize would be more than provision—it would be purpose. It’s a chance to turn everything we’ve walked through into something that helps someone else keep going.
