What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?If it is not within my control, do not stress. Find the positive in every moment rather than fixate on the negative. Having a special needs child you can easily become fixated on the milestones not being reached, words never being spoken (never hearing “i love you mom” or simply “mom”). Motherhood for me looks different than I envisioned it but I’ve learned to speak up, be my child’s voice & advocate for both. Becoming a mom has made me brave, strong, resilient and it’s my favorite title.
What would you do with $20,000?Renovate my boys bathroom to become handicap accessible. My oldest son will always live with me and require my total care, having a bathroom to easily bathe/shower him in the bigger he gets will be a game changer. The remainder will be split between my two boys and placed into savings for them for the future.
