Being a “super mom” isn’t about being perfect t’s about showing up in ways that matter, even on the hard days.
We would like to thank you for supporting Shanta Bowman in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
The most rewarding part of being a mom is watching my children grow into who they’re meant to be. Seeing their smiles, hearing their laughter, and knowing they feel safe and loved because of me means everything. It’s in the small moments comforting them, teaching them, and being their support that I feel the greatest joy and purpose.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Motherhood has taught me a strength I didn’t know I had. Through challenges and everything I’ve overcome, I’ve learned to keep going, no matter what. It’s shown me patience, unconditional love, and that being present matters more than being perfect. Every day, I grow not just as a parent, but as a person, creating a better life and future for my child.
What would you do with $20,000?With $20,000, I would first donate $5,000 to support victims of domestic violence, because helping others find safety and healing is important to me. I would then use part of the money to take my family on a meaningful vacation, creating time and space to reconnect and rebuild our bond. As I work toward reuniting with my oldest children, this experience would give us a chance to make new memories, strengthen our relationship, and move forward together in a positive way.
