Shannon Hanley

My husband and I have 7 children, all homeschooled. Our kids have been part of a clogging group for 7 years and our son plays baseball.

We would like to thank you for supporting Shannon Hanley in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

I think it’s the smaller day to day things that you hope to remember forever. A little kiss, a funny comment, or just watching them discover something. I am also so excited to have grandbabies someday!

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Not to think too far ahead. And not to always hang on everything society tells you is too hard, or crazy. Having seven children is definitely a struggle, but once you’re there you can’t imagine life any other way. It really puts what’s actually important into perspective.

What would you do with $20,000?

Probably help my daughter get a car and pay down some bills. Maybe a nice family trip to see something new. I’d love to take them to DC or Florida.
