What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is seeing their growth as they become older and develop their independence. A former coworker once told me, “each new stage will be the best stage.” Prior to motherhood, this comment didn’t make sense. How do you not miss the baby stages and how quickly they grow up? Once I became a mom, I now understand what she meant. Watching them grow, learn and reach toward independence is beyond rewarding and a reminder of what you have invested in teaching them.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood teaches you that while you may feel like you have days of success and the children are happy and thriving. There are days you feel like a failure because you have to incorporate discipline to teach them right from wrong. In return, they give you the saddest face that makes your heart crumble and the guilt sets in. Therefore, you hurt and feel you are failing them. In reality, you are teaching them valuable lessons which can lead to success as they continue to grow and age.

What would you do with $20,000?

My children and I absolutely love Disney. I would definitely take some of that money to get my kids back to Disney so they can make more of those magical core memories. In addition, I would use some to pay down debt because who doesn’t dream of having no debt?
