We would like to thank you for supporting Shana Richardson in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Being able to see my girls grow and explore. They are at the best ages. They want to know everything and see how it works. I love being able to explain these types of things to them. Also, watching them create a relationship with each other that is positive. Saying that they love each other and never skipping saying goodbye with a hug. I cherish moments like that so much.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

That nothing is how you expected it to be. I will explain this further... before becoming a mom I had expectations of what my life would look like. I wanted two kids, a boy and a girl, so on and so forth. Then I got married and pregnant with my first child and realized I don't care the gender I just want a healthy and happy baby. Then the years have past and I would not trade my two little girls for anything in the world. That they are the center of my universe and I would not change that.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would put half of it aside for my children when they are older. If that is college, trade school, or whatever they decide they want to do. The rest would go towards my student loans that I still have a payment on.
