Hearing how my unique motherhood journey has inspired and given strength to others going through difficult situations has been the fuel that keeps me going on hard days. My rainbow baby, Klaira, is proof that there is light after incredible darkness if you don’t give up. Juggling a long NICU battle, child loss, new motherhood, a brain tumor, radiation, and relearning how to walk has been difficult. Having my children as my biggest supporters from both heaven and earth makes me feel unstoppable.

Motherhood has taught me to be selfless, empathetic, and how to let go of control. My journey has shown me that it is possible to balance fear and courage, then to use that skill to accept the things I cannot change and find positivity in any situation. Everybody has their own story when it comes to motherhood, I feel that my story has taught me to lend an ear and heart to women whether they be longing for, in fear of, grieving, or simply enjoying their journey.

I would use most of the of the money as an investment to support my daughter’s future dreams and goals in life. I would also like to donate a portion of the funds to groups that support NICU warriors with items such as accessible clothing, memorial pieces for those who gain their wings too early, and resources for NICU parents since I know first hand how little warrior’s and their families thrive with love and support.
