We would like to thank you for supporting Saylanie Maniling in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

One of the biggest is seeing your child grow into their own person. Watching them learn something new, develop their personality, or handle a challenge on their own can feel incredibly fulfilling, like all your effort is quietly shaping a real human life. There’s also the emotional bond. Being the person your child runs to when they’re hurt, excited, scared, or proud creates a kind of connection that’s hard to match. Feeling trusted and needed in that way can mean everything.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

The biggest lesson is how deep responsibility and care can go. It’s not just love in a warm, happy sense—it’s showing up when you’re exhausted, being steady when things feel chaotic, and putting someone else’s needs ahead of your own over and over again. Motherhood isn’t just raising a child—it changes the person doing the raising. It forces you to reflect on your own habits, emotions, and values in a very real way.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would used to buy a bigger car and put into rent and other bill.
