I’m a single mom - I wear every hat. I’m the provider, the homemaker, the chauffeur, and my son Oliver's safe place to land - since day one.
We would like to thank you for supporting Savannah Solt in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
Watching Oliver become who he's meant to be. Knowing I'm the one he looks to for everything. As a single mom, I've had to be his whole world some days, and somehow... that pressure turned into the greatest privilege of my life. The most rewarding part isn't the big milestones. It's the quiet moments when he reaches for my hand, laughs at my jokes, or tells me I'm his best friend. That's everything. That's why I do it all.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you? That you are SO much stronger than you think you are. Before Oliver, I didn't know what I was capable of. Motherhood (especially solo motherhood) has shown me that love isn't just a feeling, it's a decision you make every single day, even when you're exhausted, even when it's hard. I've learned to stop waiting for perfect conditions and just show up. Because he's watching, and the way I live my life is the first lesson he'll ever learn.
What would you do with $20,000?Honestly? Build the foundation Ollie and I deserve. As a single mom, I'm constantly thinking about his future: his education, his experiences, the memories we haven't made yet. I'd put a portion into savings for him, take us on our very first real family vacation (just the two of us, somewhere magical), and invest in growing my career so I can keep showing him that his mom never stopped dreaming either. This money would be the start of something... not just a moment.
