Sarah Knox

Motherhood taught me selflessness, strength, and to keep going no matter what. I show up for my kids every single day.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom of two boys is watching them grow into compassionate and strong individuals. My oldest son, who is 13 and has autism, has taught me patience, resilience, and unconditional love. He inspires me daily to see the world differently. My 10-year-old son has a caring heart and stands up for others. Seeing their bond and kindness reminds me the values I teach truly matter and makes motherhood so rewarding.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood has taught me the power of love, patience, and balance. Raising a child with special needs while giving my other son equal attention has shown me how deeply a mother can care. I pour my heart into both of them, making sure each boy feels loved, supported, and valued, and that they each get the most out of their childhood, no matter their different needs.

What would you do with $20,000?

If I win $20,000, I would adapt my home to meet my son’s needs, adding indoor and outdoor equipment to support his autism. I’d make sure he gets every service he needs to thrive. I would also donate sensory items to public schools that lack them, so other children with special needs can feel supported, included, and empowered to reach their full potential.
