What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The entire experience. Spending time with them, every moment, when they ask me silly questions or we play games together or how they look up to me. I’m so lucky to have them to create a space where they can be themselves and figure that out by being free and fearless. I am very grateful to be able to raise them like that. It’s rewarding seeing their perspectives and individuality and even more rewarding to me when I can encourage them to be themselves.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

The biggest lesson is to be fully present and enjoy every moment of my time. Life is enjoyed when you’re present, if I’m too worried about the past or the future - I’ll miss my time with them and with everyone. The only currency in life is time and it’s the only one that’s fulfilling and matters.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would buy my daughters new shoes and clothing and go to a nice dinner. Enroll them in gymnastics and dance classes after school - like they’ve been asking me but I’ll finally have enough money to feel comfortable to do that.
