Being a single parent became a sanctuary of freedom, and growth for me. It has given me the honour of being the witness to my boys, their consultant, and their cheerleader, and they are a witness for me. I recognized this freedom is rare. I get to create a life we all dreamed about when everything was telling me I couldn't do it.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?I learned I get to become the North Star, for myself and my children, and ultimately all the lives we touch. When I learn from listening to my children, I get to be like a porch light, shining in the night. A place where we want to come home, to ourselves and where we feel safe, protected, free, and nurtured.
What would you do with $20,000?I would make that money go far!
