We would like to thank you for supporting Samiha Zaheer in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
The most rewarding part is watching each of my children grow in their own way and knowing I’m helping them get there. With a child who has special needs, even the smallest milestones feel huge and deeply meaningful. It’s taught me patience, resilience, and how to celebrate every step. Being a mom to both has shown me that love is about showing up, advocating, and finding joy in progress, no matter how big or small.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Motherhood, especially as a single mom, has taught me strength I didn’t know I had. I’ve learned to rely on myself, push through exhaustion, and keep going even when things feel overwhelming. It’s taught me resilience, patience, and how to advocate fiercely for my children. Most of all, I’ve learned that love isn’t about perfection it’s about showing up every day, no matter how hard it is.
What would you do with $20,000?With $20,000, a single mom, my priority will be stability first. Build an emergency fund, pay off some debt, and secure housing and essentials. Then invest in myself for a training to increase income or some self care. Then plan a vacation with my kids and travel. Also set aside a small amount for future savings, for my children. I will plan carefully and avoid spending it all at once used wisely, 20,000 dollars can create long-term security and opportunity.
