The most rewarding part of being a mom is watching my kids develop into their own individual characters based off the core values and morals created in our home. Having them feel comfortable to be open and honest with me knowing I have created a circle of safety for them where they can be their true authentic selves. I get to watch them grow into kind, confident humans through their empathy, patience, perseverance and resilience.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?The biggest lesson motherhood has taught me is to slow down & be present. The household chores can wait but those small moments in between all the big ones, the simple hugs or movie nights are the ones building the psychological safety. Those moments are the big memories. It is far more important to me that my kids can look back on memories and say my mom was always there or look over and always see me cheering them on. It sets the core values for our family that can be carried onto their own.
What would you do with $20,000?With $20,000 I would redesign my kids' bedrooms to meet their growing personalities and put money away for their education.
