The most rewarding part of being a mom is witnessing my children grow into kind, confident, and compassionate individuals. I don’t mourn the passing of stages. I celebrate them, finding joy in every phase as their personalities, values, and passions come to life. Watching them take pride in their own efforts, whether big or small, and care deeply for others, fills me with purpose. Seeing them shine from within, without needing validation, is what makes motherhood so meaningful to me.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood has taught me to be present over perfect. As a working mom in the demanding world of college athletics, I’ve learned that not everything will always get done, and that’s okay. The pressure to balance it all has given way to choosing what truly matters. Sometimes that means putting off the chores to enjoy a sunny day, a bike ride, or a simple moment together. Being present is what my children will remember most.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would use $20,000 to help create a true home for my family by putting it toward a down payment on a house where my kids can grow, play, and be themselves. I dream of a space, even a “chaos room”, where they can safely play sports, be loud, and make memories. I’d also invest in travel and experiences to broaden their world, while setting aside a portion to support their futures and whatever paths they choose.
