The most rewarding part, for me, is watching my kids be themselves. Having a relationship with them. Them wanting to be around me. From sitting on the sideline at their soccer games, to seeing how they treat others or socialize, I get a front row seat to their lives. But I treasure nighttime most, them going out of their way to say- “goodnight, Mom, I love you.” Those are the moments that remind me I’m doing something right.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Motherhood has taught me that I can—even on the hardest days. I’ve learned how strong I really am, how to juggle everything, and still show up. It’s taught me a unique fear and love at the same time, and that kind of feeling pushes you to keep going, no matter what.
What would you do with $20,000?I would use it to buy my oldest a vehicle as he steps into his new driving era. (Not sure I'm ready to have a teen driver, eek!!) The rest would help go towards common bills and necessities as I am trying to balance work and school while finishing up my bachelor's to obtain my teaching license.
