I am a single mother. I study nursing, work 50 hours a week, and still have time to give my baby a happy childhood and be present.
We would like to thank you for supporting Sabrina Flores in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
Being a mom has given my life purpose and strength I didn’t know I had. The most rewarding part is seeing my child happy, safe, and growing every day. Even on the hardest days, their smile reminds me why I keep going. Knowing I’m building a better future for both of us makes every sacrifice worth it.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Motherhood has taught me resilience and unconditional love. I’ve learned how to stay strong even when I’m exhausted, to prioritize what truly matters, and to never give up. It also taught me patience and how to keep moving forward no matter how difficult things get, because someone is depending on me.
What would you do with $20,000?I would use the $20,000 to create stability in our lives by reducing my work hours and focusing on completing my nursing program. It would help me secure reliable childcare, transportation, and essential needs. This support wouldn’t just change our present—it would allow me to build a stable career, be more present as a mother, and create a better future for my child.
