As a young child, he attended speech therapy for three years and two years of occupational therapy to develop his fine and gross motor skills. After years of using the tools taught to me by therapist, I could see him gain his independence and even become a trustworthy presence among his friends. Nowadays, seeing him perform on stage while being celebrated by room full of strangers brings me joy.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?The biggest lesson that I have learned from motherhood is trusting him and letting go so he can grow. No mother or parent wants to see their child fail; however, I must trust that he will learn from his experiences and thrive. He's resilient, brilliant and a reflection of me.
What would you do with $20,000?My son wants to become a professional actor more than anything. Performing arts schools are not cheap, so $20,000 will help sow a seed to make his dream possible.
