Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Watching my daughter explore and learn about the world around her. Hearing her curiosity through the questions she asks. Being surprised at what she actually understands. Feeling warm hearted whenever she makes random people smile- by telling them something kind as she passes by.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Apparently most moms find a closet or bathroom to hide in for peace and quiet- I’m not alone! Motherhood is way harder than everyone makes it look. It’s not the loving part that’s hard, it’s the disciplining. Finding the right fit for your kid, not parenting how you imagine parenting to be. Raising a child is more about being the role model, than about explaining anything. They see and hear (watch and listen to) EVERYTHING you say and do.

What would you do with $20,000?

Go get our first Mani/Pedi together. Enroll my daughter in some fun classes (swimming/gymnastics) and pay for 1 year upfront. Purchase year long subscriptions to some educational apps- with adaptive learning- to help my daughter catch up- and excel in school. Manage a few repairs on my car- or put a down payment on a newer car- with 4 doors- and legroom for my daughter. Take my daughter to go buy, and hand out small care packs for the unhoused, or participate in a community service project.
