The most rewarding part of being a mom is finally understanding just how deeply my own mom loves me. And now, I catch myself making the same choices she did—loving, protecting, and showing up even amongst chaos & tiredness, the way she always did. I love that I’m becoming just like her.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?That I’m more resilient than I thought & my potential is limitless. My child may be growing, but so am I. Also…don’t shop at Costco on a Saturday unless you love traffic jams. Thrift store children’s clothing is the best for growth spurts. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, just remember the wise words of SClub7…”don’t stop, never give up, hold your head high & reach the top, let the world see what you have got, bring it all back to you.” I wanted to overcome PPD & I did. Misery is an option.
What would you do with $20,000?Tackle debt. Save for our son’s education. Invest in meaningful companies/causes. …now, if I ACTUALLY splurged on myself and didn’t have to spend responsibly, I would: 1) go see Céline Dion perform in Paris with my mom & sister 2) get a tummy tuck to rid my C-section apron belly. 3) buy a greenhouse. 4) take a pottery class.
