In the early years of becoming a mom, I was blinded by the feedings, late nights, early mornings, nap schedules, and diaper changes. As my kids have grown up, the cloud has lifted and I have been able to start appreciating all of the little things, like when my son asks me to watch a movie with him or my daughter wants to snuggle with me or do my hair. The connection that I share with each of my kids is what makes me the happiest. The little moments make it all worth it.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Being a mom is the most selfless job you can have. I have learned that my kids’ happiness and safety means more than anything to me. My family is my everything and my kids will always be my first priority.
What would you do with $20,000?I would like to pay down some debt that we have acquired after some tough times as a family. With anything left I would like to be able to take my family on a vacation that we would never be able to afford otherwise. My kids deserve that and I would love to be able to surprise them with a trip they would have only ever dreamed of.
